FEATHERPROOF BOOKS PRESENTS: THE DOLLAR STORE MEGA SUMMER TOUR!
Featherproof Books is excited, no, totally pumped, to announce our biggest event the year: The Best Dollar Store Summer Of Our Lives Tour! That’s right, we’re taking this renowned reading series on the road: packing 7+ of our awesome indie writers in a van, buying tons of dollar store junk, and hitting 11 cities in 14 days.
What’s The Dollar Store all about? We’ll tell you. Each writer is given an item purchased at a local dollar store (mundane to insane) and a month to craft a story (fiction or non-) that involves the item as directly or obliquely as the author wishes. The item is then put on display during, or incorporated into the performance. And since this series has been such a smashing success in Chicago, we thought it was about time we picked it up a notch and brought our junk to other cities.
